2. Coach training and credential
programs. The
coaching profession has gained significant popularity and
recognition over the years -- a strong indicator of its value to
clients. As with most professions, coaching has an oversight
and policy management organization. It is called the International
Coach Federation (ICF) and you can visit its website to learn more
about the coaching profession. www.coachfederation.com
Professional coaches come from a
wide variety of backgrounds. Some are certified coaches, others
are not. I personally chose to blend my many
years of experience in law with a certification credential in
coaching from the Academy for Coach Training. This is one of only
a handful of schools accredited by the ICF.
3. Take advantage of a complimentary coaching call to learn
about the process. Find out how coaching will benefit your
needs and how to research finding a coach. Each coach has a
different style. Identify the style that works best for you.
I offer a 30-minute complimentary session so that you can ask
questions about coaching or actually experience the process by
discussing a particular topic.
For example, you may want to review
a frustrating conversation that you recently had
with a friend or business associate. You can, in 30 minutes,
broaden your understanding
of that exchange and gain clarity about what you want from future
interactions. Experience the benefits of coaching. Call now:
